This is the second week in a row Suck My Kick took home the win. Jac is the goalkeeper credited with the shutout for Suck My Kick. Grass Fairies, the #4 seed, matched up against the #18 seed, Genslerites in this Quarter-Finals game. The last time these two teams met in week 3, Grass Fairies won 3-1. No surprise here, the results were very similar this time. Grass Fairies continued their winning streak this week and are officially on fire. Edward was among those who scored in this playoff win for Grass Fairies, putting two shots past the Genslerites goalkeeper. Grass Fairies will play NCSA in the next round of playoffs. Genslerites have had a rough season. It’s week 8 and they’ve only scored a total of 3 goals. Peter scored the only goal for Genslerites to get their team on the board. NCSA (3-4) vs. AECOM United (4-2-1) – Wednesday, July 31, 2019
Heading into this Quarter-Finals games, AECOM United were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 99 goals last week. They were the #5 seed facing the #11 seed, NCSA. With their higher rank and momentum from last week, AECOM United went into this game thinking they would be going on to with a final score of 1-0, NCSA grabbed this W. The two MVPs in this close match were the goalkeeper for NCSA, Margo Camp, who had a shutout, and Ben Berube who scored the only goal of the game. AECOM United will need to regroup for next season following the playoff loss. Next up for NCSA is a playoff matchup against Grass Fairies.
Grass Kickers (3-4-1) vs. PWSoccer (3-4) – Wednesday, July 31, 2019
In this Quarter-Finals game, the #10 seed, Grass Kickers, took on the #11 seed, PWSoccer. PWSoccer didn’t have their best stuff on the offensive end in this game, but they’ve had 10 overall goals this season. PWSoccer is done for the year and will have to come back for another shot at the championship. Patrick Lass is the goalkeeper credited with the shutout for Grass Kickers.
