Winter 2019 Thursday Walter Payton Men’s Comp Basketball – Week 7

Time to Ball (2-4) vs. Abusement Park (4-2)

Time to Ball and Abusement Park competed in an up and down affair, combining for 176 points.  Time to Ball got a close tally in the win column by the score of 89-87 against Abusement Park.  They brought it in this one, surpassing their points per game average of 72.2.  Josip Petrusic had a quality game to help earn the group the W with 24 points while Raymond Lichter added 21, Chris Stamas added 19, Zoran Planninic and Brendan Lynch each scored 9, and Mario Knezovic added 7.  Despite losing, Abusement Park really played their A game on in terms of scoring in this one, topping their average of 71.2 points per game for the year.  Sam Collins had a tremendous game to lead the club’s attack with 29 points.  Mathew schich added 16, Michael Wisor with 15, Nuss added 14 and Weisberg had 13.  Past Our Prime (0-6-0) are next up on the docket for Time to Ball, as they look to keep it going.   Next up for Abusement Park is a showdown against LFG (5-1-0), as they look to get back on track.

 

 

Wet Dream Team (2-4) vs. Premature Shooters (2-4)

Wet Dream Team and Premature Shooters competed in an absolute shoot-out, totaling 157 points. With a score of 88-69, Wet Dream Team got a big W against Premature Shooters.  They really brought their A game in this game, exceeding their PPG average of 68.8. Christopher Rickert had a huge week to lead the club’s Offense with 25 points followed closely by Taylor Dee with 23 and Eric Moeller with 21.  Joe P also contributed with 10 while Robert Czar added 7 and Alex Garvey added 2.  Premature Shooters were unable to stop anything in this game, surrendering more points than their average of 70.5 points against per game for the year. John Cheng accounted for 15 points for Premature Shooters with help from John V with 14, John Hayes had 13, Chris Cheng with 12, Casey Hanrahan and Kevin M each added 6 and Jeffery Collins contributed 3.  Trees and Threes (4-2-0) are next up on the docket for Wet Dream Team, as they look to keep it going.   Windy City Bulls (2-4-0) are next up on the schedule for Premature Shooters, as they try to bounce back.

 

 

Trees and Threes (4-2) vs. Extra Moist (3-3)

Trees and Threes and Extra Moist competed in an up and down affair, combining for 158 points. By the score of 86-72, Trees and Threes got a significant win, to earn their third-straight W against Extra Moist.  Mike Rose had a good performance to spearhead the team’s offense with 21 points. While Elliot E added 20, Alvin Muse added 12, and Brandon Smith, Aaron, Grey each added 11.  Despite the loss, Extra Moist played their A game in this one, exceeding their average of 64.8 points per game this year.  Robert Mischler had a massive game to lead the group’s attack with 37 points with help from Hendrik G with 20 points, Henry Biermann with 6, Gavin Stoick who added 4 and Ben Rogers with 2.  Wet Dream Team (2-4-0) are next up on the schedule for Trees and Threes, as they look to keep it going.   Next up for Extra Moist is a match-up against One Time (6-0-0), as they look to rebound.

 

 

LFG (5-1) vs. Past Our Prime (0-6)

LFG and Past Our Prime lit up the scoreboard, combining for 155 points. By the score of 90-65, LFG got a pummeling victory, to earn their fourth-straight win and continue to cruise against Past Our Prime.  They really brought their A game in this game, besting their points per game average of 75.8. Sterling Williams had a solid game to lead the club’s offense with 23 points. Jordan Gipson added 16 and Chad Murphy each added 14 While Luke F help with 13 of his own and Andrew Ondik and Sean Anthony each contributed 12.   Past Our Prime really did everything they could on offense in this game despite losing, exceeding their average of 54.0 points per game this season.  Alan Harper and Adamn Singer each had 18 points for Past Our Prime followed by Derek G with 15, Matt Bourdreau with 12 and Dan Bruno with 2.  Abusement Park (4-2-0) are next up on the docket for LFG, as they look to keep it going.   Next game, Past Our Prime will attempt to get their first win with a match-up against Time to Ball (2-4-0).

 

 

One Time (6-0) vs. Windy City Bulls (2-4)

One Time got a solid W by the score of 65-56, to remain unbeaten this year against Windy City Bulls.  They really battled for this matchup, winning, despite scoring less than their average points per game of 79.5. Dan Buoniconti had a good performance to help earn the club the W with 22 points while AJ Adekoya added 16, Sam Carlson with 14 Fabs with 8 and Troy had 5.  Windy City Bulls really struggled to get it going on offense in this one, scoring less than their average of 67.0 points per game this year. Brandon Taylor went for 24 points and being the only one in double digits for Windy City Bulls. Kevin Jackson contributed 8, Tyler Albertson and Leonard Garron each had 7, Gino Karopulos had 6 and Bill Baffes added 2.  Next Thursday, One Time seeks to remain undefeated with a contest versus Extra Moist (3-3-0).   Premature Shooters (2-4-0) is next up on the calendar for Windy City Bulls, as they look to get into the winner’s circle.
