Abusement Park (5-4) vs. Premature Shooters (3-5) – Thursday, 21, 2019

In this Play-in game, the #4 seed, Abusement Park, took on the #7 seed, Premature Shooters. Abusement Park got a significantwin by the score of 65-51 against Premature Shooters.  They really showed up on D in this game, beating their season points against average of 67.4  PPG.  Duncan L had a solid game to spearhead the club’s attack with 21 points.  Premature Shooters didn’t have their best stuff in this one, scoring less than their average of 65.0 points per game for the season.  The leading scorer for Premature Shooters was John Cheng who scored 23 points. Winning this play-in game means Abusement Park advanced to Quarter-Finals. They jumped straight into the next round in the same night, and you can continue to follow their playoff journey in the game recap below.  This is the end of the road for Premature Shooters’s run in this league. One Time (9-0) vs. Abusement Park (5-4) – Thursday, 21, 2019

In this Semi-Final game, the #1 seed, One Time, took on the #4 seed, Abusement Park.  One Time got a tally in the win column by the score of 63-58, to maintain a zero in the loss column this season against Abusement Park.  These guys really showed some fight in this game, winning, despite scoring less than their average points per game of 75.1.  Tony Moeaki had a nice week to help earn the club the win with 22 points. Abusement Park really struggled to get it going on offense in this one, scoring less than their average of 68.3 points per game this year. The leading scorer for Abusement Park was Matthew Schick who put in 18 points.  They dominated in the regular season, and it’s no surprise One Time will advance. On the bright side for Abusement Park, this loss means they can save their legs and recharge for next season.

 

LFG (9-1) vs. Extra Moist (4-5) – Thursday, 21, 2019

Extra Moist forfeited to LFG.  The semi-final win for LFG advanced them to the championship game. Read the Championship recap below to see how they finished. Unfortunately for Extra Moist, this loss means the end of their season.

 

LFG (9-1) vs. One Time (9-0) – Thursday, 21, 2019

It was a Championship Game written for the movies. Could the #2 seeded team, LFG outplay the #1 seeded team, One Time? In this game, yes they could! LFG got a respectable tally in the win column by the score of 62-53, to get their eighth-straight win against One Time.  These guys really showed some grit in this matchup, earning the victory, despite scoring less than their average points per game of 78.5. Luke F had a quality night to guide the team’s attack with 22 points.  Sterling Williams now leads the league with 14.80 points per game.  One Time really didn’t have their best stuff in this game, scoring less than their average of 75.1 points per game this year.  Tony Moeaki accounted for 22 points for One Time.  Congratulations to LFG on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title.  Being one of the top two teams, One Time was optimistic heading into the championship match, so this loss is a tough one.  But they definitely have what it takes to win and we expect to see them doing well again next season.
