Benchwarmer FC (2-2) vs. The Ball Handlers (1-3) – Tuesday, July 23, 2019

Benchwarmer FC and The Ball Handlers played a close one up to the last minute with a final score of 3-2. The Ball Handlers have had a rough season. It’s week 4 and they’ve only scored a total of 4 goals. The losing team still had notable players including Dillan and Jason, who scored one goal for The Ball Handlers. This is the second week in a row Benchwarmer FC took home the win. Scott Gemmell, Jeremy Weitzman, Colin Parsons netted one goal to help earn the crew the win.  INDY Team #11 (2-1-1) is next up on the calendar for The Ball Handlers, as they look to get into the winner’s circle.  Legendz (1-2-1) are next up on the calendar for Benchwarmer FC, as they look to keep it going. 

Velvet Taquitos (1-3) vs. Muchas Ganas FC (0-4) – Tuesday, July 23, 2019

Both teams entered this match looking for their first win of the season. Finally breaking their losing streak, Velvet Taquitos grabbed an exciting win against Muchas Ganas FC with a final score of 1-0. Muchas Ganas FC struggled to get it going on the offensive end in this one, and suffered a shutout. Velvet Taquitos really buckled down in this matchup, prevailing, despite scoring less than their avg. GPG of 1.3.  Kevin prevented the team’s loss by scoring their only goal. Their goalie, Bogan, deserves much of the credit after earning a clean sheet.  Next week, Muchas Ganas FC will try to get their first win with a match-up against Yeovil (1-1-2).  Next up for Velvet Taquitos is a contest against JLL (1-1-2). 

Cuervos F.C. (4-0) vs. Soccer Scrubs (2-1-1) – Tuesday, July 23, 2019

Cuervos F.C. and Soccer Scrubs took part in a nail-biter up to the last minute with a final score of 3-2. This is Soccer Scrubs’s first loss of the season. The losing team still had notable players including Siobhan Cooney and Aaron who tallied one goal for Soccer Scrubs. Cuervos F.C. really battled hard for this game, emerging victorious, despite scoring less than their average goals per game of 3.5.  Aldo, Norman, and Uriel each kicked one goal to lead the squad’s attack.  Beercelona (2-1-1) are next up on the schedule for Soccer Scrubs, as they look to rebound.  On Tuesday, Cuervos F.C. seeks to stay perfect with a date versus IRI BIG DATA BIG KICKS (1-1-2). 

Thunder (3-1) vs. Beercelona (2-1-1) – Tuesday, July 23, 2019

Thunder and Beercelona competed in a low scoring affair, combining for three goals. Thunder took home the 2-1 victory. Thunder really brought their A game in this game, beating their average of 1.5 goals per game.  Claudia Larrea and Katherine Powell fired one goal to help get the team the win. Next up for Thunder is a date versus Freight FC (1-1-2).  This is Beercelona’s first loss of the season. Connor Welby scored the only goal for Beercelona to get their team on the board.  Soccer Scrubs (2-1-1) is next up on the schedule for Beercelona, as they try to bounce back.

 INDY Team #11 (2-1-1) vs. Yeovil (1-1-2) – Tuesday, July 23, 2019

INDY Team #11 and Yeovil had a draw and concluded all tied at 1-1. This is Yeovil’s second tie this season and they’re currently sitting in sixth place in the standings. Ernesto Fernandez was the star player for Yeovil this week. They scored the only goal for their team. For Yeovil next they take on Muchas Ganas FC (0-4-0). This week’s result puts INDY Team #11 in third place in the standings. Exiting week 4, INDY Team #11 will look ahead to The Ball Handlers (1-3-0) who are next on the calendar.

Legendz (1-2-1) vs. IRI BIG DATA BIG KICKS (1-1-2) – Tuesday, July 23, 2019

Legendz celebrated a team milestone this week as they earned their first win of the season, defeating IRI BIG DATA BIG KICKS 1-1. This win for the Legendz came as a pleasant surprise considering it’s more than halfway through the season and they have only scored a total of 4 goals. Kenny Bahena scored the team’s only goal, keeping their team in the game. Exiting week 4, Legendz looks ahead to Benchwarmer FC (2-2-0) who are next on the schedule. This is IRI BIG DATA BIG KICKS’s second tie this season and they’re currently sitting in sixth place in the standings. Joseph was the star player for IRI BIG DATA BIG KICKS this week. They scored the only goal for them. For IRI BIG DATA BIG KICKS next up is Cuervos F.C. (4-0-0).

JLL (1-1-2) vs. Freight FC (1-1-2) – Tuesday, July 23, 2019

JLL tied Freight FC 2-2. They’ve met even competition the past two weeks and JLL have a 2-game draw streak. Frank and Alex scored one goal to steer the club’s attack. Exiting week 4, JLL looks ahead to Velvet Taquitos (1-3-0) who are next on the calendar. This is Freight FC’s second tie this season and they’re currently sitting in sixth place in the standings. In the tie, Diana Kinn and Kevin Castro had one goal for Freight FC.  For Freight FC they will face off with Thunder (3-1-0).
