The Ball Handlers (1-2) vs. Velvet Taquitos (0-3) – Tuesday, July 16, 2019

This is the 3rd week and both teams were still on the hunt for their first win of the season. Finally breaking their losing streak, The Ball Handlers grabbed an exciting win against Velvet Taquitos with a final score of 1-0. Velvet Taquitos struggled to get it going in this game, and failed to make it onto the scoreboard.  Next week, Velvet Taquitos faces off against Muchas Ganas FC (0-3-0) in an attempt to break their winless streak. The Ball Handlers showed up in this game, topping their average of 0.7 goals per game.  Dillan was the hero on offense and scored their only goal. Their goalie, Mark , deserves much of the credit after earning a clean sheet. Benchwarmer FC (1-2-0) are next up on the calendar for The Ball Handlers, as they look to keep it going.   

JLL (1-1-1) vs. Yeovil (1-1-1) – Tuesday, July 16, 2019

JLL tied Yeovil 1-1 in their week 3 matchup. JLL used their 1 goals scored in this game to boost their total goals this season to 4. Frank scored the team’s only goal, keeping their team on the board. Exiting week 3, JLL looks ahead to Freight FC (1-1-1) who are next on the docket. This is Yeovil’s first tie this season and they’re currently sitting in sixth place in the standings. Catherine Popp was the star player for Yeovil this week. They scored the only goal for them. For Yeovil they will face off with INDY Team #11 (2-1-0).

Benchwarmer FC (1-2) vs. IRI BIG DATA BIG KICKS (1-1-1) – Tuesday, July 16, 2019

Earning their first win of the season, Benchwarmer FC beat IRI BIG DATA BIG KICKS 2-1. Benchwarmer FC really stepped up in this one, besting their average of 1.7 goals per game.  Shane Decker and Issam Kaisse both kicked one goal to help earn the team the W. This is IRI BIG DATA BIG KICKS’s first loss of the season. Dhiman Biswas scored the only goal for IRI BIG DATA BIG KICKS to get their team on the board. The Ball Handlers (1-2-0) are next up on the schedule for Benchwarmer FC, as they look to keep it going.   Legendz (1-2-0) is next up on the calendar for IRI BIG DATA BIG KICKS, as they look to get back on track.

Freight FC (1-1-1) vs. Muchas Ganas FC (0-3) – Tuesday, July 16, 2019

Going into this game, both teams were hungry for their first win of the season. With a final score of 3-1, Freight FC emerged with a win against Muchas Ganas FC. Freight FC really brought it in this one, besting their average of 1.7 goals per game.  Katie Michalik, Alex, and Trevor each kicked one goal to steer the squad’s offense. Next up for Freight FC is a pairing versus JLL (1-1-1).  Muchas Ganas FC really didn’t have their best stuff in terms of scoring in this game, scoring less than their average of 1.3 goals per game this year. Jaime Cardenas scored the only goal for Muchas Ganas FC to save them from a shutout.  Muchas Ganas FC attempts to get off the schneid next week against Velvet Taquitos (0-3-0).

Soccer Scrubs (2-0-1) vs. Thunder (2-1) – Tuesday, July 16, 2019

Soccer Scrubs and Thunder competed in a Game where the defenses dominated, totaling three goals. Soccer Scrubs took home the 2-1 victory. Soccer Scrubs really buckled down in this matchup, emerging victorious, despite scoring less than their average goals per game of 2.3.  Claudia and Aaron kicked one goal each to guide the club’s attack. Soccer Scrubs will attempt to stay unbeaten next week with a date against Cuervos F.C. (3-0-0).  This is Thunder’s first loss of the season. Claudia Larrea scored the only goal for Thunder to get their team on the board.  Next up for Thunder is a match-up against Beercelona (2-0-1), as they attempt to bounce back.

Cuervos F.C. (3-0) vs. Legendz (1-2) – Tuesday, July 16, 2019

In this match, Cuervos F.C. beat Legendz 4-1. Currently undefeated, Cuervos F.C. sit in 1st place in the standings with 3 wins. Renaldo scored two goals to help earn the team the W, while Christopher and Ricardo Ponce both scored one. Legendz didn’t have their best showing in this one, surrendering more goals than their average of 2.7 GAPG this season. Kenny Bahena scored the only goal for Legendz to get their team on the board. Cuervos F.C. will try to stay unblemished next Tuesday with a pairing against Soccer Scrubs (2-0-1).   Next up for Legendz is a match-up versus IRI BIG DATA BIG KICKS (1-1-1), as they attempt to rebound.

Beercelona (2-0-1) vs. INDY Team #11 (2-1) – Tuesday, July 16, 2019

Beercelona were incredible on both sides of the pitch against INDY Team #11 with a final score of 4-0. This is INDY Team #11’s first loss of the season. Anna Schilling racked up a hat trick to guide the team’s attack while Andres Arias scored the fourth goal.  Yeovil (1-1-1) is next up on the schedule for INDY Team #11, as they look to get back on track.  Beercelona will try to remain unblemished next week with a throwdown against Thunder (2-1-0).
