Chicago Handshakes (3-3) vs. Look Ma, No Hands (1-4) – Thursday, July 18, 2019

In this match, Chicago Handshakes beat Look Ma, No Hands 6-1. Look Ma, No Hands really were unable to get rolling on the offensive end in this one, scoring less than their average of 1.8 GPG for the season. Ricardo Lara scored the only goal for Look Ma, No Hands to save them from a shutout.  Champions are next up on the schedule for Look Ma, No Hands, as they attempt to bounce back. Eric Shrader leads Chicago Handshakes this season in scoring and added to their stats this week with 3 goals bringing Eric Shrader’s personal total to 5. Eric Shrader tallied a hat trick to help earn the team the W, Rodrignez scored two, and Shahab Rostami scored the final goal. 

It’s A Llama (4-0-1) vs. Kelly Blue Book’s 2009 Minivan of the Year (3-3) – Thursday, July 18, 2019

It’s A Llama and Kelly Blue Book’s 2009 Minivan of the Year competed in a low scoring affair, combining for three goals. It’s A Llama took home the 2-1 victory. Kelly Blue Book’s 2009 Minivan of the Year really struggled to get it going on offense in this one, scoring fewer than their average of 2.8 GPG this year. Connor scored the only goal for Kelly Blue Book’s 2009 Minivan of the Year to prevent the shutout. This win is the second in a row for It’s A Llama, and it bumps them to 1st place in the standings. Luke Z and Diego both scored one goal to lead the club’s offense. Next week, It’s A Llama will try to remain undefeated with a contest against Team Larry’s.   

Team Larry’s (4-1) vs. Cheeky Monkey (4-1) – Thursday, July 18, 2019

Team Larry’s played well here and blanked Cheeky Monkey with a final score of 2-0. This is Cheeky Monkey’s first loss of the season. Team Larry’s really battled hard for this contest, winning, despite scoring less than their average goals per game of 2.8.  Max Dutram kicked all two goals to help get the crew the win. Shout-out to keeper, Emily Studenmund, for the shutout! Team Larry’s takes on It’s A Llama next week.

Champions (1-4) vs. INDY Team #1 (0-4-1) – Thursday, July 18, 2019

Going into this game, both teams were hungry for their first win of the season. Finally breaking their losing streak, Champions snagged a win against INDY Team #1 with a final score of 3-1. INDY Team #1 have had a rough season. It’s week 7 and they’ve only scored a total of 4 goals. Nathan Andrews scored the only goal for INDY Team #1 to get their team on the board.  On Thursday, INDY Team #1 faces off against in an attempt to break their winless streak. Champions really brought it in this game, beating their average of 1.0 goals per game.  Jose scored two goals while Mike Katzenbach scored one to help get the club the W. Next up for Champions is a battle against Look Ma, No Hands.
