Spoons FC, the #1 seed, played the #4 seed, Head Game Strong in this Semi-Final game. The last time these two teams met in week 4, Spoons FC won 4-0. This time around, the results weren’t much different.  Spoons FC had two games this week. Impressively, they won both matches, which now gives them a 4-game winning streak. John Deters is the goalkeeper credited with the shutout for Spoons FC. Helping on the offense, Pierre Hage was among those who scored in this playoff win for Spoons FC. Head Game Strong had a difficult run this season and they will not be advancing to the next round of playoffs.  They dominated in the regular season, and it’s no surprise Spoons FC advanced to the Championship game. Spoons FC (6-2) vs. Burton Birdwatchers (5-2) – Sunday, August 25, 2019

It was a Championship Game written for the movies. The #1 team, Spoons FC played the #2 team, Burton Birdwatchers for the prestigious long-sleeve shirts forever capturing the moment of glory. Being one of the top two teams, Burton Birdwatchers was optimistic heading into the championship match, so this loss is a tough one. But they definitely have what it takes to win and we expect to see them doing well again next season. This week, Spoons FC was fired up for a double header. Both matches were victories helping to boost them to the #1 rank in the standings. John Deters is the goalkeeper credited with the shutout for Spoons FC. Helping on the offense, Jacob Fishstrom was among those who scored in this playoff win for Spoons FC. Congratulations to Spoons FC on a great season and their championship win!
