Rooney Toons (1-0) vs. Monstars (0-1) – Friday, August 16, 2019

Rooney Toons and Monstars competed in a low scoring affair, combining for three goals. Rooney Toons took home the 2-1 victory. It’s only the first week, and Monstars has plenty of opportunities to go back to the drawing board on offense. Philip scored the only goal for Monstars to prevent the shutout. David Romanchuk and Danny Hendrickson both fired one goal to lead the team’s offense.  As for Monstars next on the docket is Shenanigans (0-1-0) as they strive to bounce back.   For Rooney Toons, every contest is a big game to get cruisin at the outset of the season. Team America (1-0-0) are next on the calendar for Rooney Toons. 

Team America (1-0) vs. Shenanigans (0-1) – Friday, August 16, 2019

Team America shut out Shenanigans with a final score of just 1-0. Team America may have to get it going on offense in order to stay near the top of the standings, as they are the lowest-scoring team in the league early on this season. Amir prevented the team’s loss by scoring their only goal. The team’s goalkeeper, Mike Dash, got a clean sheet in this one.  Team America will try to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2. This week Team America will battle Rooney Toons (1-0-0).  Despite the loss, Shenanigans have a lot of weeks to practice their offensive skills before play-offs.  For Shenanigans next on the docket is Monstars (0-1-0) as they try to rebound.
