Spring 2019 Wednesday Lincoln Park Coed Turf 8v8 Soccer – Week 5

LPSE (3-0-1) vs. Tribe FC (3-0-1) – Wednesday, April 24, 2019

LPSE and Tribe FC took part in a draw and ended tied up at 2-2.  Gabi Bailin and Sharief El-Gabri each scored a goal in the tie.  This is Tribe FC’s first tie this season and they’re currently sitting in third place in the standings. In the tie, Hank Blum and Mathew Shipon each tallied one goal for Tribe FC.  For Tribe FC next they take on F.C. DVG (0-2-3).  Exiting week 5, LPSE looks ahead to Uptake United (1-4-0) who are next on the calendar.

 

KH Kicks (4-0-1) vs. Ball Handlers (1-3) – Wednesday, April 24, 2019

KH Kicks put on a show on both sides of the pitch against Ball Handlers with a final score of 2-0.  Adis Sulemanovic was the teams MVP scoring both goals in the shut out victory for KH Kicks.  Next up for Ball Handlers is a match-up against Boots and Hoes (1-3-0), as they attempt to bounce back. KH Kicks will try to remain unbeaten on Wednesday with a battle against Sick Kickers (1-3-1).

 

Banana Bread at Work, Bro (4-1) vs. Sick Kickers (1-3-1) – Wednesday, April 24, 2019

Banana Bread at Work, Bro beat Sick Kickers 3-1 in this game.  Benjamin Wallace lead the way for Banana Bread at Work, Bro scoring two goals while Nena also added one goal.  The Ball Handlers (1-2-2) are next up on the docket for Banana Bread at Work, Bro, as they look to keep it going.  Sick Kickers didn’t have their best stuff in this one, scoring less than their average of 2.0 goals per game for the year. Jazmin Chavez scored the only goal for Sick Kickers to prevent the shutout.  KH Kicks (4-0-1) is next up on the docket for Sick Kickers, as they look to rebound.

 

Kick Acidosis (4-0-1) vs. The Ball Handlers (1-2-2) – Wednesday, April 24, 2019

Kick Acidosis were incredible on both sides of the pitch against The Ball Handlers with a final score of 5-0.  Scoring came easy to Kick Acidosis Muhammad Mutawakkil, Azad Karim, Michael Soult, Kien Bui, and Meghan Schick each scored one goal in the shut out win.  The Ball Handlers didn’t have their best stuff in terms of scoring in this game, but they’ve had 7 overall goals this season.  On Wednesday, Kick Acidosis will look to stay unbeaten.   Next up for The Ball Handlers is a battle versus Banana Bread at Work, Bro (4-1-0), as they look to rebound.

 

Boots and Hoes (1-3) vs. Uptake United (1-4) – Wednesday, April 24, 2019

Boots and Hoes defeated Uptake United 6-1 in this week’s match-up.  Carlyn Shapiro lead the way for Boots and Hoes while John Emanuel, Colin Clancy, Jake Schultz, Brendan Cole each scored one goal to help the club earn the victory.  Next up for Boots and Hoes is a pairing against Ball Handlers (1-3-0).  Uptake United really were unable to get rolling on offense in this one, scoring fewer than their average of 1.2 goals per game for the year. Kelly Medrano scored the only goal for Uptake United to save them from a shutout.  Next up for Uptake United is a match-up against LPSE (3-0-1), as they try to bounce back.

 

F.C. DVG (0-2-3) vs. I Wanna Score with Somebody (INDY #6) (0-2-1) – Wednesday, April 24, 2019

F.C. DVG and I Wanna Score with Somebody (INDY #6) were extremely evenly matched in this Game and finished tied up at 0-0.  Exiting week 5, F.C. DVG will look ahead to Tribe FC (3-0-1) who are next on the docket.  For I Wanna Score with Somebody (INDY #6) they will go toe to toe with CDM Media (0-3-1).
