Train Wreck (5-1-2) vs. Zombies! (4-4) – Wednesday, July 24, 2019

The #1 seed, Train Wreck, played the #2 seed, Zombies! in this Semi-Finals game. The last time these two teams met in week 1, Train Wreck won 2-0. The results weren’t much different this time around.  Zombies! struggled to get it going on the offensive end in this one, and came short of making it onto the scoreboard. Train Wreck won 5-0.  Next up for Zombies! is a coveted bye week. Train Wreck had two games this week. They won both matches, which means they’re heating up!  is the goalkeeper credited with the shutout for Train Wreck. Helping on the offense, Matt scored two and Ben scored three to deliver the playoff win for Train Wreck. See how Train Wreck did in the championship game below!

Toe Ballers (7-0-1) vs. Blue Guys (4-4) – Wednesday, July 24, 2019

Heading into this Semi-Finals games, Blue Guys were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 6 goals last week. Additionally, they were the higher ranked #1 seed playing the #3 seed, Blue Guys. They played well and took the win 2-0 to advance to Blue Guys were unable to get rolling in this game, but they’ve had 13 overall goals this season. This was one of two games for Toe Ballers this week. Impressively, they won both matches and increased their total goals scored to 17.  is the goalkeeper credited with the shutout for Toe Ballers. Helping on the offense, Chris and Matt both scored in this playoff win for Toe Ballers. See how Toe Ballers did in the championship game below!

Toe Ballers (7-0-1) vs. Train Wreck (5-1-2) – Wednesday, July 24, 2019

In this suspenseful Championship Game, the #1 team, Toe Ballers played the #1 team, Train Wreck, for the coveted Chicago Sport and Social Club long-sleeve champ shirts to forever capture their moment of glory. Toe Ballers was fired up for a double header. They won both matches helping to boost them to the #1 rank in the standings. The two MVPs in this close match were the goalkeepers for both Toe Ballers and Train Wreck. Toe Ballers & TRAINWRECK an exciting finals match with zero-zero in regulation & zero-zero in OT!! That excitement continued into the Shootout phase. The match was decided in the top of the 12th Round of the Shootout–when Alexandra Medeiros’ spectacular save of Pk set the table for her teammate to cinch the Match. Congratulations to Toe Ballers on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title. Train Wreck came so close to the championship title. They’re not an easy team to beat and looking ahead to next season, they are definitely a team that will be at the top of the standings table.
