Good Vibes Only (5-1) vs. Real Team (4-4) – Sunday, June 16, 2019

In this Quarter-Final game, the #3 seed, Good Vibes Only, took on the #6 seed, Real Team. Good Vibes Only took home the win 4-1. Scoring for Good Vibes Only was the combination of two goals from Peter and one each from Britney and Mark Collao.  Real Team struggled to get it going in terms of scoring in this one, scoring less than their average of 1.9 GPG this year. In the loss, Jamison Fletcher scored the lone goal. This is the end of the road for Real Team’s run in this league. There’s always next season! Good Vibes Only advanced to semi-finals, and without a week to rest, jumped right into it as a double header. See how they did by reading the next recap.

Game of Throw Ins (4-3) vs. INDY Team #7 (4-2) – Sunday, June 16, 2019

The 4th place vs 5th place game is always one of the most exciting matches of the playoff bracket. With a final score of 2-1, Game of Throw Ins grabbed this W behind goals from Mike S and Jimmy. In the loss, Alex Degalley scored the lone goal. These teams had similar season records and nearly matched in total goals scored, 11 for Game of Throw Ins, and 20 for INDY Team #7. INDY Team #7 really didn’t have their best stuff in this game, scoring fewer than their average of 3.3 goals per game for the season. INDY Team #7 had a nice run this season, but they will not be advancing to the next round of playoffs. This win advanced Game of Throw Ins to semi-finals, which was played as a double header. For Fuchs Sake (7-0) vs. Game of Throw Ins (4-3) – Sunday, June 16, 2019

For Fuchs Sake, the #1 seed, took on the #5 seed, Game of Throw Ins in this Semi-Final game. The last time these two teams met in week 5, For Fuchs Sake won 1-0. This time around, the results weren’t much different, with the team taking home the win 3-0.  Scoring for the victors was John M with two goals and Daniel Doherty with one. They dominated in the regular season, and it’s no surprise For Fuchs Sake advanced to the Championship game. Read the recap below to find out how they did. This was one of two games for Game of Throw Ins. On the bright side for Game of Throw Ins, this loss means they can save their legs and recharge for next season.

Toe Ballers (7-1) vs. Good Vibes Only (5-1) – Sunday, June 16, 2019

It was an exciting Semi-Final games, in which the #2 seed, Toe Ballers, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #3 seed, Good Vibes Only with a final score of 2-1. In the game, Travis Woyner and Christian V scored to take home the victory, while Edwin scored the only goal for the losing squad. Good Vibes Only had a double header this week. The exciting win for Toe Ballers advanced them to the championship game. Read the Championship recap below to see how they finished. Hopefully the loss doesn’t haunt Good Vibes Only too much. Toe Ballers (7-1) vs. For Fuchs Sake (7-0) – Sunday, June 16, 2019

It was a Championship Game written for the movies. Could the #2 seeded team, Toe Ballers outplay the #1 seeded team, For Fuchs Sake? In this game, yes they could! They dominated them and took home the win 5-1. The victory came from the combination of two goals from Micah and one each from Lauren, Paz and Travis. This was one of two games for For Fuchs Sake. Being one of the top two teams, For Fuchs Sake was optimistic heading into the championship match, so this loss is a tough one. But they definitely have what it takes to win and we expect to see them doing well again next season.  Congratulations to Toe Ballers on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title.
