Atletico WB (8-1) vs. Belvedere Trading (2-5-1) – Sunday, August 25, 2019

In this Quarter-Final game, the #1 seed, Atletico WB, took on the #10 seed, Belvedere Trading. This was one of two games for Atletico WB this week. They won both matches and increased their total goals scored to 144. Edgardo Devariel was among those who scored in this playoff win for Atletico WB, putting two shots past the Belvedere Trading goalkeeper, Finnian Bunta. Atletico WB advanced to semi-finals, and without a week to rest, jumped right into it as a double header. See how they did by reading the next recap. Despite the loss, Belvedere Trading has been doing great on offense this season, with a total of 21 goals. Finnian Bunta was the star player for Belvedere Trading this week. They scored all two goals for them. Belvedere Trading is done for the season and we hope to see them return for the start of the new league coming up soon.

Net Six and Chill’s loss means they are done in this single-elimination playoff schedule. This week, The Benders was fired up for a double header. This was the better played match, which helped them claim their #4 rank in the standings table. The win for The Benders meant a straight shot to semi-finals. Chicago Chubs (7-1-1) vs. The Benders (6-3) – Sunday, August 25, 2019

In this Semi-Final game, the #2 seed, Chicago Chubs, took on the #4 seed, The Benders. Chicago Chubs had a double header this week. This was the better played match, which helped them claim their #2 rank in the standings table. Peter B was among those who scored in this playoff win for Chicago Chubs, putting two shots past the The Benders goalkeeper, Christopher Nguyen. The Benders had a double header. This was the tougher match of the two, and they now sit in 4th place in the standings. James Naples scored the only goal for The Benders to get their team on the board. They won both matches, which now gives them a 6-game winning streak. Brandon Medina is the goalkeeper credited with the shutout for Atletico WB. Helping on the offense, Kyle Dedrick was among those who scored in this playoff win for Atletico WB. Toe Ballers is done for the season and we hope to see them return for the start of the new league coming up soon.  They dominated in the regular season, and it’s no surprise Atletico WB advanced to the Championship game. It was a Championship Game written for the movies. The #1 team, Atletico WB played the #2 team, Chicago Chubs for the prestigious long-sleeve shirts forever capturing the moment of glory. Chicago Chubs had a double header. They struggled in this match, but at least the loss didn’t ding their standings too bad as they still sit at the top of the table in 2nd place. Atletico WB had a double header. Impressively, they won both matches putting them at a 6-game winning streak. Brandon Medina is the goalkeeper credited with the shutout for Atletico WB. Helping on the offense, Edgardo Devariel was among those who scored in this playoff win for Atletico WB. Being one of the top two teams, Chicago Chubs was optimistic heading into the championship match, so this loss is a tough one.
