For Fuchs Sake, the #6 seed, matched up against the #11 seed, Netkicks and Chill in this Quarter-Finals game. The last time these two teams met in week 2, For Fuchs Sake won 3-2. This time around, the results weren’t much different.  Netkicks and Chill didn’t have their best stuff on the offensive end in this game, and failed to make it onto the scoreboard.  Next up for Netkicks and Chill is done for the season following this loss. Chicago Chubs (6-0-1) vs. Might Be Messi (3-5) – Sunday, August 11, 2019

Chicago Chubs were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 99 goals last week. Additionally, they were the higher ranked #1 seed playing the #9 seed, Might Be Messi. They just barely took the win to advance to Might Be Messi had a double header this week. Sometimes double headers help you get in a groove, other times they lead to tired legs, and they now sit in 9th place in the standings. Might Be Messi has sadly been eliminated following this loss. Chicago Chubs continued their winning streak this week and are officially on fire. The two MVPs in this close match were the goalkeeper for Chicago Chubs, Curtis Wiese, who had a shutout, and Curtis Wiese who scored the only goal of the game. Chicago Chubs will play next week in the semi-finals following this win!

Toe Ballers (6-0-1) vs. For Fuchs Sake (4-4) – Sunday, August 11, 2019

In this Quarter-Finals game, the #1 seed, Toe Ballers, took on the #6 seed, For Fuchs Sake. This is the second week in a row Toe Ballers took home the win. Alexandra M is the goalkeeper credited with the shutout for Toe Ballers. Helping on the offense, Ryan was among those who scored in this playoff win for Toe Ballers. This was one of two games for For Fuchs Sake. In contrast to their other game, the defense crumbled in critical moments, and they now sit in 6th place in the standings. Atletico WB (6-1) vs. Si Se Puede! (1-6) – Sunday, August 11, 2019

In this Quarter-Finals game, the #3 seed, Atletico WB, took on the #13 seed, Si Se Puede!. Kale is the goalkeeper credited with the shutout for Atletico WB. Net Six and Chill (1-4-2) vs. Burn Early (4-3) – Sunday, August 11, 2019

The #5 seed, Burn Early, forfeited to the #11 seed, Net Six and Chill. The forfeit puts Burn Early in fifth place in the standings table. Net Six and Chill have a game against The Benders next week in the playoffs.  Burn Early was eliminated following the forfeit.

The Benders (5-2) vs. INDY Team #10 (1-6) – Sunday, August 11, 2019

The #13 seed, INDY Team #10, forfeited to the #4 seed, The Benders. INDY Team #10 forfeit this week’s match-up. INDY Team #10 has been eliminated following the forfeit. This win is the second in a row for The Benders, and it bumps them to 4th place in the standings. Next up for The Benders is Net Six and Chill in the quarterfinals.

Belvedere Trading (2-4-1) vs. Indy Team #2 (3-3-1) – Sunday, August 11, 2019

They weren’t the favored team, but Belvedere Trading, the #10 seed upset the #6 seed, Indy Team #2, in this Quarter-Finals games. Indy Team #2 really didn’t have their best stuff on offense in this game, scoring less than their average of 2.3 GPG this season. Zbigniew Stanek scored the only goal for Indy Team #2 to prevent the shutout.  Ian was among those who scored in this playoff win for Belvedere Trading, putting two shots past the Indy Team #2 goalkeeper, Nick. Indy Team #2 will have to regroup for next season for another shot at the championship.  Next up for Belvedere Trading is a game against Atletico WB in the quarterfinals.
