Greater Than Gang (4-3) vs. The Hash Slinging Slashers (0-3-3) – Saturday, June 01, 2019
Greater Than Gang took on The Hash Slinging Slashers in this last game of the regular season and won 4-0. Scoring for the victors was Balazs Szegletes with two goals and Giovani and Accesso with one goal each. The Hash Slinging Slashers seem to be in a bit of a rut. They’ve lost 2 games in a row. Next up for these teams is the quarterfinals, which begin Saturday June 8.
Boca Seniors (5-1) vs. Retired Has-Beens (5-2) – Saturday, June 01, 2019
In this Last Week of Season game Boca Seniors matched up against Retired Has-Beens and won 4-1. This was one of two games for Retired Has-Beens. This was the tougher match of the two, but at least the loss didn’t ding their standings too bad as they still sit at the top of the table in 2nd place. Justin Cueva scored the only goal for Retired Has-Beens to prevent the shutout. For the victors, Evan Baker had a hat trick and Brian Malinowski scored one to complete the scoring.
Greater Than Gang (4-3) vs. EY (1-5-1) – Saturday, June 01, 2019
The #8 seed, EY, forfeited to the #4 seed, Greater Than Gang. The forfeit puts EY in eighth place in the standings table. Both teams play next week in the quarterfinals.
Retired Has-Beens (5-2) vs. INDY Team #8 (3-4) – Saturday, June 01, 2019
Retired Has-Beens played INDY Team #8 and took home the win 6-3. INDY Team #8 had a double header. Both matches were losses dropping them to the #5 rank in the standings. The losing team still had notable players including Evyn Hewett, who scored two goals, and Phil Beans who scored one for INDY Team #8. For Retired Has-Beens, they were lead to victory by tow goals each from Kyle, John, and Ramon. Next week is quarterfinals for both of these clubs.
EY (1-5-1) vs. INDY Team #8 (3-4) – Saturday, June 01, 2019
EY were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 3 goals last week. While they had momentum, they were the #5 seed facing the #8 seed. The odds were not in their favor, but they pulled out the win with a score of 3-2. This was one of two games for INDY Team #8 this week. Both matches were losses putting them at a 4-game losing streak. Evyn Hewett was the star player for INDY Team #8 this week with two goals. For EY, their offense had goals from Guissel Galindo, Kevin Brown, and Evyn. They scored all two goals for them. INDY Team #8 have an extra week of rest coming up with a coveted bye. Man Chest Hair City (4-2-1) vs. Man Back Hair City (1-4-1) – Saturday, June 01, 2019
Man Chest Hair City were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 4 goals last week. Additionally, they were the higher ranked #3 seed playing the #6 seed, Man Back Hair City. They took the win to advance to Man Back Hair City struggled to get it going on offense in this one, and came short of making it onto the scoreboard. Scoring the three goals for Man Chest Hair City was the combo of Carlos, Jean Pierre Valencia, and Fezil Mehmood.
