The Renewable Machine (3-6-1) vs. Pangea (0-7-1) – Monday, May 13, 2019

It was an exciting Play-In matches, in which the #15 seed, The Renewable Machine, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #18 seed, Pangea with a final score  of 3-2. The Renewable Machine continue on their road to victory.  In spite of the loss, Pangea genuinely played their A game defensively in this game, allowing less than their average of 14.8 goals against per game this year. Michael Thies was the star player for Pangea this week.  They scored all two goals for their team.  Pangea is done for the season and we hope to see them return for the start of the new league coming up soon.

 

MoLo Magic (1-6-2) vs. INDY Team #1 (2-6) – Monday, May 13, 2019

In this Play-In game, the #16 seed, INDY Team #1, took on the #17 seed, MoLo Magic.  With a final score of 4-0 MoLo Magic got a dominate win.  INDY Team #1’s loss means they are done in this single-elimination playoff schedule.

 

Our Moms Think We’re Good (7-0-1) vs. MoLo Magic (1-6-2) – Monday, May 13, 2019

In this Play-In game, the #1 seed, Our Moms Think We’re Good, took on the #17 seed, MoLo Magic. MoLo Magic had two games this week.  With a final score of 5-0 Our Moms Think We’re Good got the shutout win.  MoLo Magic struggled in this match, and they now sit in 17th place in the standings. Hopefully the loss doesn’t haunt MoLo Magic too much. There’s always next season.

 

Soccer? I Hardly Know Her! (7-1) vs. The Renewable Machine (3-6-1) – Monday, May 13, 2019

In this Play-In game, the #2 seed, Soccer? I Hardly Know Her!, took on the #15 seed, The Renewable Machine. The last time these two teams met in week 3, Soccer? I Hardly Know Her! won 6-0. This time around, the results weren’t much different.  The Renewable Machine had a double header. This was the tougher match of the two, and they now sit in 15th place in the standings. They still had notable players including Austin Welch, who had one goal for The Renewable Machine.  This is the end of the road for The Renewable Machine’s run in this league. There’s always next season!

 

Corporate Soccer Team (3-4-2) vs. Boarding Group Six (0-7) – Monday, May 13, 2019

In this Play-In game, the #11 seed, Corporate Soccer Team, took on the #20 seed Boarding Group Six, and won by a score of 3-0.   Boarding Group Six were unable to get rolling in this game and failed to make it onto the scoreboard. Unfortunately for Boarding Group Six, this loss means the end of their season.

 

Team Chicago 1 (3-5) vs. INDY Team #11 (0-7-1) – Monday, May 13, 2019

It was an exciting Play-In match-ups, in which the #14 seed, Team Chicago 1, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #18 seed, INDY Team #11 with a final score of 1-0.  INDY Team #11 were unable to get rolling in this game, and couldn’t seem to find the back of the net. This is the end of the road for INDY Team #11’s run in this league. There’s always next season!  Team Chicago 1 continue on their road to victory.

 

Treadmill Trotters (6-1) vs. Team Chicago 1 (3-5) – Monday, May 13, 2019

In this Play-In game, the #3 seed, Treadmill Trotters, took on the #14 seed, Team Chicago 1. Winning this play-in game with a score of 5-1 means Treadmill Trotters advances.  Team Chicago 1 had a double header. They struggled in this match, and they now sit in 14th place in the standings. This is the end of the road for Team Chicago 1’s run in this league. There’s always next season!

 

Avocado Discoballs (5-1) vs. Corporate Soccer Team (3-4-2) – Monday, May 13, 2019

In this Play-In game, the #4 seed, Avocado Discoballs, took on the #11 seed, Corporate Soccer Team and won with the score of 3-0.   This was one of two games for Corporate Soccer Team this week. This was the tougher match of the two, and they now sit in 11th place in the standings. Hopefully the loss doesn’t haunt Corporate Soccer Team too much. There’s always next season.

 

LP United (6-1-1) vs. Carrot Shticks (2-3-1) – Monday, May 13, 2019

Heading into this Play-In games, Carrot Shticks were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 5 goals last week.  LP United was the higher ranked #5 seed playing the #13 seed, Carrot Shticks. LP United just barely took the win over Carrot Shticks with a final score of 1-0  to advance.  Carrot Shticks didn’t have their best stuff on offense in this one and came short of making it onto the scoreboard.  Carrot Shticks is done for the season and we hope to see them return for the start of the new league coming up soon.  LP United continue on their road to victory.

 

ESPN The Ocho (5-1-2) vs. JNAM FC (2-3-3) – Monday, May 13, 2019

ESPN The Ocho, the #6 seed, matched up against JNAM FC, the #12 seed, in this Play-In game. ESPN The Ocho won this match 3-1.   JNAM FC really were unable to get rolling in terms of scoring in this one, scoring less than their average of 1.3 goals per game this year.  Nick Lazich scored the only goal for JNAM FC to save them from a shutout.   JNAM FC’s loss means they are done in this single-elimination playoff schedule.

 

ABCDE FC (3-2-3) vs. GT Soccer (3-1-4) – Monday, May 13, 2019

It was an exciting Play-In match-ups, in which the #9 seed, ABCDE FC, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #8 seed, GT Soccer with a socre of 3-2.  GT Soccer still had notable players including Alex , who accounted for one goal for GT Soccer.  ABCDE FC continue on their road to victory.  On the bright side for GT Soccer, this loss means they can save their legs and recharge for next season.

 

Winded City FC (5-2-1) vs. Team Awesome (3-2-3) – Monday, May 13, 2019

It was an exciting Play-In matches, in which the #7 seed, Winded City FC, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #9 seed, Team Awesome 1-0.  The win for Winded City FC means a ticket to quarter-finals.  Team Awesome didn’t have their best stuff in terms of scoring in this game, and suffered a shutout. On the bright side for Team Awesome, this loss means they can save their legs and recharge for next season.
