Avocado Discoballs (1-0) vs. AD/HK (0-1) – Monday, June 10, 2019

Avocado Discoballs beat AD/HK 4-1 in this game. Despite losing, AD/HK has plenty of time to improve on the offensive side of the ball. Bill Ryan scored the only goal for AD/HK to save them from a shutout. Scoring for Avocado Discoballs was the combo of Gus and Nadine Merheb with one each and Alex with two. For AD/HK next up is a date with ESPN: The Ocho (1-0-0) as they attempt to bounce back.   This week Avocado Discoballs will go toe to toe with Game of Throw-Ins (1-0-0), as they look to keep up the momentum. 

Indy Team 3 (1-0) vs. Jazz (0-1) – Monday, June 10, 2019

Indy Team 3 beat Jazz 3-1 in this game. It’s only the first week, and Jazz has tons of time to get better on the offensive side of the ball. Cate Soane scored the only goal for Jazz to prevent the shutout. Scoring for Indy Team 3 was Joe Linn with two and Adam Janic with one.  As for Jazz they will have a date with The Purple Kixie Sticks (0-1-0) as they strive to rebound.   For Indy Team 3, each game is a critical opportunity to grab wins early on. Soccer Hotties (0-1-0) are next on the docket for Indy Team 3. 

Avocados FC (0-0-1) vs. Balls Deep (0-0-1) – Monday, June 10, 2019

Avocados FC and Balls Deep had a draw and concluded knotted up at 0-0. Exiting week 1, Avocados FC looks ahead to Boarding Group 6 (0-1-0) who are next on the docket. Setting a record for the Balls Deep, this was their best defensive game of the season.  For Balls Deep they will face off with Go the distance (0-1-0).

NM FC (1-0) vs. Loose Balls (0-1) – Monday, June 10, 2019

NM FC and Loose Balls competed in a low scoring affair, combining for three goals, with a final score of 2-1. NM FC took home the 2-1 victory behind goals from Muhammad Mutawakkil and Steve.  For NM FC, each week is a big chance to get in a groove at the outset of the season. Upper Middle 90 (1-0-0) are next on the calendar for NM FC.  Even with a loss, Loose Balls has a significant amount of weeks to improve on the offensive side of the ball. Derrick scored the only goal for Loose Balls to prevent the shutout.  As for Loose Balls next up is a throwdown with Net Six and Chill (1-0-0) as they look to come back from this one.

ESPN: The Ocho (1-0) vs. Boarding Group 6 (0-1) – Monday, June 10, 2019

ESPN: The Ocho absolutely dominated this game in shut out fashion against Boarding Group 6 with a final score of 5-0. This strong offensive showing came from goals from Ben Rosenkranz, Shane Decker, Ryan Teich, and two from Matt Allain. It’s only week 1, so Boarding Group 6 has plenty of season left to work their way up the rankings.  Exiting week 1, ESPN: The Ocho will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. Next up is a battle with AD/HK (0-1-0).   For Boarding Group 6 next on the docket is Avocados FC (0-0-1) as they look to get into the win column.

Net Six and Chill (1-0) vs. Soccer Hotties (0-1) – Monday, June 10, 2019

Net Six and Chill were amazing in this shut out against Soccer Hotties with a final score of 4-0. For the victors, their goals came from Meghan Day, Ryan Cohen, and Courtney McHugh with two. Soccer Hotties had a rough start to the season, but sources tell us they just had an off night and they’ll be bouncing back in week 2.  Net Six and Chill will attempt to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2. Next up is a throwdown against Loose Balls (0-1-0).   As for Soccer Hotties next up is a date with Indy Team 3 (1-0-0) as they strive to rebound.

GT Soccer (1-0) vs. Echo Madness (0-1) – Monday, June 10, 2019

GT Soccer were incredible on both sides of the pitch against Echo Madness with a final score of 5-0. In their dominant performance, GT Soccer had one goal each from Ryan Murray, Oscar, and Travis, and two from Tyler. Exiting week 1, GT Soccer will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. INDY Team #1 (0-1-0) are next on the docket for them.  It’s only the first week, so Echo Madness has plenty of season left to work their way up the rankings.  For Echo Madness next up is a pairing with INDY Team #10 (1-0-0) as they try to bounce back.

Team Awesome (0-0-1) vs. The Boozers FC (0-0-1) – Monday, June 10, 2019

Team Awesome and The Boozers FC played to a draw and finished with a stalemate at 1-1. Scoring for both squads was Caroline B for Team Awesome and Diego Zamudio for The Boozers FC. This is The Boozers FC’s first tie this season and it was their best offensive performance yet.  For The Boozers FC they will go toe to toe with Winded City FC (1-0-0).  Exiting week 1, Team Awesome looks ahead to u/11 superstars (0-1-0) who are next on the schedule.

Game of Throw-Ins (1-0) vs. Go the distance (0-1) – Monday, June 10, 2019

Game of Throw-Ins beat Go the distance 6-2 in this game. Scoring for the victors was Ben with five goals and Mike Mullins with one. In the loss, Matt and Greg scored for Go the distance. The season is still young, and Go the distance has significant amounts of opportunities to pick it up on the offensive side of the ball.  As for Go the distance they will have a game with Balls Deep (0-0-1) as they strive to get to the win column.   Game of Throw-Ins will look to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2. Next up is a throwdown against Avocado Discoballs (1-0-0). 

Upper Middle 90 (1-0) vs. The Purple Kixie Sticks (0-1) – Monday, June 10, 2019

Upper Middle 90 blanked The Purple Kixie Sticks with a final score of just 1-0. Scoring the decisive, game-winning goal was Nick Watson. The Purple Kixie Sticks will have to pick up the pace on offense if they want to turn things around, as they are the lowest-scoring team in the league early on this season.  For The Purple Kixie Sticks next on the calendar is Jazz (0-1-0) as they look to bounce back.   Exiting week 1, Upper Middle 90 will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. This week Upper Middle 90 will compete with NM FC (1-0-0). 

INDY Team #10 (1-0) vs. INDY Team #1 (0-1) – Monday, June 10, 2019

In this match, INDY Team #10 beat INDY Team #1 4-2.  For the victors, their scoring came from Mario Selent with two goals and Christina Espinoza and Allison Collins with one. For Indy Team #1, their goals came from Nick Costa and Brad Corirossi. Echo Madness (0-1-0) are next on the schedule for INDY Team #10, as they look for another win early on this season.  Even though they lost, INDY Team #1 has a ton of opportunities to improve on offense. For INDY Team #1 next up is a game with GT Soccer (1-0-0) as they try to come back from this one.

Winded City FC (1-0) vs. u/11 superstars (0-1) – Monday, June 10, 2019

u/11 superstars forfeited to Winded City FC in this match-up. This forfeit was u/11 superstars’s first loss of the season.  This week Winded City FC will battle The Boozers FC (0-0-1), as they look for another win early on this season.   As for u/11 superstars next on the calendar is Team Awesome (0-0-1) as they look to rebound.
