ESPN: The Ocho (8-1) vs. AD/HK (6-4) – Monday, August 5, 2019

It was an exciting Semi-Finals matches, in which the #1 seed, ESPN: The Ocho, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #4 seed, AD/HK. Despite losing, AD/HK has been doing great on offense for the season, with a total of 30 goals. Austin Andrekus was the star player for AD/HK this week. They scored all two goals for them. ESPN: The Ocho came ready for a double header this week. They won both matches helping to boost them to the #1 rank in the standings. Alonso Huizar was among those who scored in this playoff win for ESPN: The Ocho, putting two shots past the AD/HK goalkeeper, Robert Bilski.  AD/HK was eliminated following the loss.  ESPN: The Ocho advanced to the championship, check out below how they did.  

Balls Deep (6-0-3) vs. Game of Throw-Ins (6-3) – Monday, August 5, 2019

Going into this game Game of Throw-Ins had 6 wins this season, 14 total goals, and hunger for a playoff win. Balls Deep came ready for a double header this week. Both matches were victories helping to boost them to the #2 rank in the standings. Tina led their team to victory with a hat-trick. Balls Deep moved onto the championship. Check out the recap below to see how they did. Despite the loss, Game of Throw-Ins has been doing great on offense, with a total of 30 goals. Ben scored the only goal for Game of Throw-Ins to save them from a shutout.  Next up for Game of Throw-Ins is done for the season and will have to wait for next season for a shot at the championship.

Balls Deep (6-0-3) vs. ESPN: The Ocho (8-1) – Monday, August 5, 2019

It was a Championship Game written for the movies. Could the #2 seeded team, Balls Deep outplay the #1 seeded team, ESPN: The Ocho, who hadn’t lost a game yet this season? In this game, yes they could! This week, Balls Deep came ready for a double header. Impressively, they won both matches and increased their total goals scored to 19. The two MVPs in this close match were the goalkeeper for Balls Deep, Andrew Lively, who had a shutout, and Tina who scored the only goal of the game. Congratulations to Balls Deep on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title. ESPN: The Ocho had two games this week. They lost one of the matches and increased their total goal differential to 20. ESPN: The Ocho came so close to the championship title. They’re not an easy team to beat and looking ahead to next season, they are definitely a team that will be at the top of the standings table.
