Spring 2019 Lincoln Park Turf Co-Ed 8v8 – Week 6

LPSE (5-0) vs. CRA (0-5) – Wednesday, July 17, 2019

LPSE were incredible on both sides of the pitch against CRA with a final score of 5-0. CRA didn’t have their best stuff on offense in this one, but they’ve had 3 overall goals this season. This win is the second in a row for LPSE, and it bumps them to 1st place in the standings. Ronaldo netted two goals, while the rest of the scoring came from the combination or Coline Gainer, Ariana Gonzalez, and Tigist Dadi. The team’s goalkeeper, Diego Ceniseroz, stone-walled CRA, earning a shutout for their record.  CRA seeks to get their first win next week with a match-up against Crowe (2-3-0).  On Wednesday, LPSE will attempt to stay unblemished with a Game against INDY Team #5 (3-1-1).   

INDY Team #5 (3-1-1) vs. Crowe (2-3) – Wednesday, July 17, 2019

INDY Team #5 played well here and blanked Crowe with a final score of 2-0. Crowe struggled to get it going in this game, and couldn’t seem to find the back of the net. INDY Team #5 really stepped up on the defensive end, beating their season goals against average of 1.4  goals per game.  Ben Gura and Drego Kutil made one goal. The defenders are the unsung heroes of this match for helping Juan Carvajal earn a shut out. CRA (0-5-0) is next up on the calendar for Crowe, as they try to bounce back.  Next up for INDY Team #5 is a pairing against LPSE (5-0-0). 

Man Chest Hair United (4-1-1) vs. Suck My Kick (4-1-1) – Wednesday, July 17, 2019

Man Chest Hair United and Suck My Kick finished in a draw and concluded all tied at 0-0. This result is a drastic change from Suck My Kick’s week 2 team-record high of 8 goals. For Suck My Kick next up is Uptake United (2-3-0). With no goals to add to their record, this week’s game drops Man Chest Hair United’s average to 2 points per game. Exiting week 6, Man Chest Hair United will look ahead to Grass Kickers (2-4-0) who are next on the docket.

Grass Fairies (3-2) vs. Taking Shots on Wednesdays (3-3) – Wednesday, July 17, 2019

In this match, Grass Fairies beat Taking Shots on Wednesdays 3-1. Taking Shots on Wednesdays struggled to get it going on the offensive end in this game, scoring less than their average of 1.2 goals per game for the season. Ray scored the only goal for Taking Shots on Wednesdays to save them from a shutout. Let’s start with Rajat Gupta of Grass Fairies who now leads the league with 6 goals. Puppy Luv (4-1) vs. bswift (3-3) – Wednesday, July 17, 2019

In this match, Puppy Luv beat bswift 5-1. bswift really didn’t have their best stuff in this game, scoring fewer than their average of 2.7 GPG this year. Kelly Chin scored the only goal for bswift to prevent the shutout.  Let’s start with Steven Mantor of Puppy Luv who now has the most goals in the league with 6 goals. Steven Mantor tallied a hat trick to help get the club the W, while Peter scored two. 0-8 but still having fun (2-4-0) are next up on the schedule for Puppy Luv, as they look to keep it going. 

AECOM United (3-1-1) vs. Uptake United (2-3) – Wednesday, July 17, 2019

AECOM United shut out Uptake United with a final score of just 1-0. AECOM United are heating up with two wins in a row. To help gain the club the win, Arley Lopez scored their only goal.  Shout-out to goalkeeper, Andrew Hable, for the shutout! Genslerites (0-4-1) are next up on the schedule for AECOM United, as they look to keep it going.   Suck My Kick (4-1-1) is next up on the schedule for Uptake United, as they attempt to rebound.

NCSA (2-4) vs. 0-8 but still having fun (2-4) – Wednesday, July 17, 2019

NCSA beat 0-8 but still having fun 3-1 in this game. NCSA really brought it in this one, surpassing their average of 0.8 goals per game.  Riley Charette accounted for two goals and Ned Colleran one to help earn the club the win. Aly Halleran scored the only goal for 0-8 but still having fun to get their team on the board.   Puppy Luv (4-1-0) is next up on the calendar for 0-8 but still having fun, as they attempt to rebound.

Monty’s Maniacs (1-3-1) vs. Genslerites (0-4-1) – Wednesday, July 17, 2019

Earning their first win of the season, Monty’s Maniacs beat Genslerites 0-0. This victory for the Monty’s Maniacs came as a surprise considering it’s more than halfway through the season and they have only scored less than a handful goals. Exiting week 6, Monty’s Maniacs looks ahead to Grass Fairies (3-2-0) who are next on the schedule. Genslerites don’t have a reputation of scoring a lot of goals this season, so this result wasn’t much of a surprise. They currently have a total of 2 goals over 5 games.  For Genslerites they will face off with AECOM United (3-1-1).

PWSoccer (3-3) vs. Grass Kickers (2-4) – Wednesday, July 17, 2019

PWSoccer and Grass Kickers competed in a Game where the defenses dominated, totaling three goals. PWSoccer took home the 2-1 victory. Grass Kickers really struggled defensively in this game, allowing more goals than their average of 1.2 goals against per game this season. Patrick Lass scored the only goal for Grass Kickers to get their team on the board.  Next up for Grass Kickers is a showdown against Man Chest Hair United (4-1-1), as they look to rebound. PWSoccer really showed up in this game, surpassing their average of 1.7 goals per game.  Meaghan Gelinas and Sebastian Bellm scored one goal to lead the crew’s attack.  are next up on the docket for PWSoccer, as they look to keep it going.
