Spring 2019 Fri Lincoln Park Turf Coed Rec 8 on 8 Outdoor Soccer – Week 1

Shenanigans (1-0) vs. Net Breakers (0-1) – Friday, June 21, 2019

In this match, Shenanigans beat Net Breakers 6-2. It’s only week one, and Net Breakers has tons of weeks to improve on the offensive side of the ball. For the victors, Britt Withey had two goals, Terian had 1, and Spencer had a hat trick. The losing team still had notable players including Bryan Hancock and Jonathan Portugal, who both kicked one goal for Net Breakers.  As for Net Breakers next on the docket is INDY Team #5 (0-1-0) as they look to bounce back.   Exiting week 1, Shenanigans will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. This week Shenanigans will line-up against Team #7 (1-0-0). 

Team #7 (1-0) vs. Team America (1-1) – Friday, June 21, 2019

Team #7 beat Team America 4-2 in this game. This was one of two games for Team America this week. This was the tougher match of the two, but unfortunately it was their first loss of the season. For Team #7, the scoring came from Michael Begley had two goals while Sammy and Joel both had one. The losing team still had notable players including Mark and Mihir, who both scored one goal for Team America.  Team #7 will look to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2. Shenanigans (1-0-0) are next on the schedule for Team #7. 

Team America (1-1) vs. INDY Team #5 (0-1) – Friday, June 21, 2019

In this match, Team America beat INDY Team #5 4-1.  It’s only the first week, and INDY Team #5 has plenty of opportunities to go back to the drawing board on the offensive end. For the victors, Mihir had a hat trick while Alison scored one. Sammy scored the only goal for INDY Team #5 to get their team on the board.  For INDY Team #5 they will have a date with Net Breakers (0-1-0) as they strive to come back from this one.
