SPRING 2018 THURS WALTER PAYTON MEN’S COMP BASKETBALL – CSSC LEAGUE RECAP – WEEK 6

Eskimo Bros (5-1) vs. Urban Knights (2-4) – Thursday, May 10, 2018

Eskimo Bros and Urban Knights were very neck and neck in this match-up. Eskimo Bros got a nail biting W by the score of 67-65, to get their fifth-straight win against Urban Knights. They really showed some fight in this game, emerging victorious despite allowing more points than their season-long points against average of 58.3 points per game. Tom had a nice performance to guide the club’s offense with 19 points. Lorenzo T netted 23 points for Urban Knights. Still Ballin (4-2-0) are next up on the docket for Eskimo Bros, as they look to keep it going. Next up for Urban Knights is a showdown versus Notorious B.I.G. (4-2-0), as they attempt to rebound.

 

One Time (5-1) vs. PDT (0-6) – Thursday, May 10, 2018

By the score of 65-50, One Time got a significant W against PDT. They really buckled down in this one, earning the win, despite scoring less than their average points per game of 72.3. AJ had a good game to help earn the team the W with 21 points. The leading scorer for PDT was Bryan Hancock who had 21 points. LFG (6-0-0) are next up on the docket for One Time, as they look to keep it going. Next week, One Time attempt to break their winless streak with a match-up against Washington Wizards (0-6-0).

 

Kevin Durant’s Next Team (2-4) vs. Washington Wizards (0-6) – Thursday, May 10, 2018

By the count of 65-58, Kevin Durant’s Next Team got a respectable W against Washington Wizards.  Dustin Cox had an amazing game to lead Kevin Durant’s Next Team’s offense with 28 points. Washington Wizards gave it their all to stop Kevin Durant’s Next Team despite losing, allowing less than their average of 80.2 points against per game for the year. The leading scorer for Washington Wizards was Tim Zettinger who had 19 points. Next up for Kevin Durant’s Next Team is a date versus Premature Shooters (2-4-0). Washington Wizards will look to break their winless streak on Thursday with a match-up versus PDT (0-6-0).

 

LFG (6-0) vs. Premature Shooters (2-4) – Thursday, May 10, 2018

LFG dominated Premature Shooters by a final score of 85-52. They brought their A game on the defensive end in this one, beating their season points against average of 58.2 points per game. Andrew Ondik had a nice game to lead the group’s attack with 19 points. Premature Shooters really didn’t have their best stuff on the offensive end in this game, scoring less than their average of 64.2 PPG this year. Andy Timson netted 19 points for Premature Shooters. LFG will look to remain undefeated next week with a match-up against One Time (5-1-0). Still Ballin (4-2) vs. Notorious B.I.G. (4-2) – Thursday, May 10, 2018

Still Ballin got a solid win by the score of 74-67 against Notorious B.I.G. This team really brought their A game in this one, surpassing their points per game average of 66.2. Tim McCrary had a strong night to help gain the team the W with 21 points. Tim McCrary now has the most goals in the league with 18.67 points per game. The leading scorer for Notorious B.I.G. was Qashaun S who went for 20 points. Next up for Still Ballin is a contest against Eskimo Bros (5-1-0). Urban Knights (2-4-0) are next up on the schedule for Notorious B.I.G., as they look to get back on track.
