SPRING 2018 THURS WALTER PAYTON MEN’S COMP. BASKETBALL – CSSC LEAGUE RECAP – WEEK 1

Premature Shooters (1-0) vs. PDT (0-1) – Thursday, April 05, 2018
Premature Shooters got a smashing win by the score of 77-54 against PDT. Andrew Castagnetti had a good week to lead the squad’s offense with 22 points, while Briggs King scored 16 points for Premature Shooters. It’s only week 1, and PDT has plenty of weeks to improve on the offensive end. Carter Bass went for 17 points for PDT. One Time (1-0-0) is next on the docket for Premature Shooters. Next up for PDT is a pairing with Eskimo Bros (0-1-0).

Still Ballin (1-0) vs. Kevin Durant’s Next Team (0-1) – Thursday, April 05, 2018
With a score of 70-54, Still Ballin got a great win against Kevin Durant’s Next Team. Max Needle had a nice showing to help gain the team the W with 23 points and Tim McCrary accounted for 20 points. It’s only the first week, and Kevin Durant’s Next Team has a lot of weeks to improve on the offensive end.  Dustin Cox had a good showing to lead the team’s offense with 17 points, while James Patrick scored 15 points.  Next up is a match-up with Urban Knights (0-1-0). Next up for Kevin Durant’s Next Team is a throw down with Notorious B.I.G. (1-0-0).

LFG (1-0) vs. Urban Knights (0-1) – Thursday, April 05, 2018
LFG defeated Urban Knights with a final score of 90-56. Sterling Williams had a quality performance to help gain the club the W with 22 points and Eric Garth accounted for 17 points. It’s only the first week, and Urban Knights has plenty of opportunities to go back to the drawing board on offense. Even in the loss, Daniel Mendoza had a solid week to lead the squad’s offense with 19 points, while Steve N went for 15 points.  Next up is a showdown with Washington Wizards (0-1-0). Next up for Urban Knights is a Game with Still Ballin (1-0-0).

Notorious B.I.G. (1-0) vs. Eskimo Bros (0-1) – Thursday, April 05, 2018
Notorious B.I.G. and Eskimo Bros participated a nail-biter. By the score of 51-49, Notorious B.I.G. got a close W. Qashaun S had a huge game to help earn the squad the W with 27 points. In spite of the loss, it is still early and Eskimo Bros has tons of games to improve on the Offensive end. The leading scorer for Eskimo Bros was Jason Laflore who scored 10 points.  Kevin Durant’s Next Team (0-1-0) are next on the docket for Notorious B.I.G..  PDT (0-1-0) are next on the docket for Eskimo Bros.

One Time (1-0) vs. Washington Wizards (0-1) – Thursday, April 05, 2018
One Time and Washington Wizards competed in an up and down affair, combining for 152 points. One Time got a great tally in the win column by the score of 84-68. Jay Alexander had a nice week to lead the team’s offense with 22 points, while Ryan Fabrizius had 20 points. It’s only the first week, and Washington Wizards has lots of opportunities to get better on offense. Even in the loss, Briley Kellison had a good showing with 16 points and Tim Zettinger scored 13 points.  Next up is a match-up with Premature Shooters (1-0-0).   LFG (1-0-0) are next on the calendar for Washington Wizards.
