Summit Sweepers (2-1) vs. Team Indy (0-3) – Tuesday, October 1, 2019
Summit Sweepers played well here and blanked Team Indy with a final score of 2-0. This is the second week in a row Summit Sweepers took home the win. Jaime Prado scored all two goals and earned the most tallies on the scoresheet. Shout-out to goalkeeper, Adam Miller, for the shutout! Next up for Summit Sweepers is a pairing against Yeovil (3-0-0). Team Indy were unable to get rolling on offense in this one and couldn’t seem to find the back of the net. On Tuesday, Team Indy battles against Out of Shape FC (0-2-1) in an attempt to get on the board with a win.
Da Sleeping Bears (3-0) vs. The Ball Handlers (0-2-1) – Tuesday, October 1, 2019
Da Sleeping Bears put on a show on both sides of the pitch against The Ball Handlers with a final score of 2-0. Winning all their games so far this season, Da Sleeping Bears seem to be the team to try to beat. Thomas Gore scored one goal. Shout-out to their goalie for the shutout! Next Tuesday, Da Sleeping Bears will try to stay unbeaten with a match-up versus Will’s FC (3-1-0). The Ball Handlers struggled to get it going on offense in this one and couldn’t seem to find the back of the net. The Ball Handlers looks to get off the schneid next week with a match-up against Benchwarmers (0-2-1).
Yeovil (3-0) vs. Beercelona (1-1-1) – Tuesday, October 1, 2019
Yeovil absolutely dominated this game in shut out fashion against Beercelona with a final score of 5-0. Currently undefeated, Yeovil sit in 1st place in the standings with 3 wins. Katie Hopkins made two goals. The defenders are the unsung heroes of this match for helping Michael Thien earn a clean sheet. Next week, Yeovil take on Summit Sweepers (2-1-0) in an attempt to stay unblemished. This is Beercelona’s first loss of the season. Migos FC (2-0-1) is next up on the schedule for Beercelona, as they look to get into the winner’s circle.
Will’s FC (3-1) vs. INDY Team #3 (0-3) – Tuesday, October 1, 2019
Will’s FC and INDY Team #3 competed in a Game where the defenses dominated, totaling three goals. Will’s FC took home the 2-1 victory. Will’s FC battled for this contest, winning, despite scoring less than their average goals per game of 2.3. Sara Cutaia scored one goal to steer the team’s attack. INDY Team #3 really played their A game defensively despite the loss, giving up fewer than their average of 3.3 goals against per game this year. Jeff Snodgrass scored the only goal for INDY Team #3 to save them from a shutout. Next up for Will’s FC is a throwdown versus Da Sleeping Bears (3-0-0). On Tuesday, INDY Team #3 faces off against Thunder (1-0-1) in an attempt to get off the schneid.
Migos FC (2-0-1) vs. Benchwarmers (0-2-1) – Tuesday, October 1, 2019
Migos FC controlled this game in shut out fashion against Benchwarmers with a final score of 3-0. Benchwarmers were unable to get rolling in this one and suffered a shutout. Migos FC seems to have found their groove and has won two games in a row. Jorge Gallegos netted two goals. The defense are the unsung heroes of this match for helping Angel Gallegos earn a shutout. Benchwarmers looks to get on the board with a win next week with a match-up against The Ball Handlers (0-2-1). Migos FC will look to remain unbeaten next week with a contest against Beercelona (1-1-1).
Thunder (1-0-1) vs. Out of Shape FC (0-2-1) – Tuesday, October 1, 2019
Going into this game, both teams were hungry for their first win of the season. With a final score of 1-0, Thunder emerged with a close win against Out of Shape FC. Thunder stepped up on the defensive end, allowing fewer goals than they gave up in their opening game. To spearhead the club’s attack, John Tekampe prevented the loss by scoring their only goal. The club’s goalie, Jose, made sure Out of Shape FC would not score. Out of Shape FC struggled to get it going in terms of scoring in this game and failed to make it onto the scoreboard. Next week, Thunder will try to remain unbeaten with a date versus INDY Team #3 (0-3-0). On Tuesday, Out of Shape FC faces off against Team Indy (0-3-0) in an attempt to get their first win.
