Kicking and Scheming, the #1 seed, matched up against the #3 seed, Accenture in this Semi-Finals game. The last time these two teams met in week 2, Kicking and Scheming won 7-0. The results weren’t much different this time around. This week, Kicking and Scheming came ready for a double header. Both matches were victories and increased their total goals scored to 34. Hannah Duerr is the goalkeeper credited with the shutout for Kicking and Scheming. Helping on the offense, Katie Zara was among those who scored in this playoff win for Kicking and Scheming. High School Heroes (6-1) vs. INDY Team #4 (1-6-1) – Sunday, November 17, 2019

The #3 seed, INDY Team #4, forfeited to the #1 seed, High School Heroes. High School Heroes had a double header. This was the better played match, which helped them lock in their #1 rank in the standings table. High School Heroes moved onto the championship; see how they did in the recap below.

In this nail-biting Championship Game, the #1 team, Kicking and Scheming played the #1 team, High School Heroes, for the coveted Chicago Sport and Social Club long-sleeve champ shirts to forever capture their moment of glory. This was one of two games for High School Heroes. If they had only this game, it might have been a different result, but at least the loss didn’t ding their standings too bad as they still sit at the top of the table in 1st place. High School Heroes came so close to the championship title. They’re not an easy team to beat and looking ahead to next season, they are a team that will be at the top of the standings table. This week, Kicking and Scheming was fired up for a double header. They won both matches helping to boost them to the #1 rank in the standings. The two MVPs in this close match were the goalkeeper for Kicking and Scheming, Hannah Duerr, who had a shutout, and Katie Zara who scored the only goal of the game. Congratulations to Kicking and Scheming on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title.
