Going into this game, both teams were hungry for their first win of the season. With a final score of 4-2, The Tanglers emerged with a win against La mano de Dios. The Tanglers stepped up in this one, exceeding their average of 1.6 goals per game. Erik Newman scored two goals and earned the most tallies on the scoresheet. Next up for The Tanglers is a match-up against Dave and the Goaliaths (0-3-2). Even though they faced losing, La mano de Dios certainly did everything they could to stop La mano de Dios in this game, allowing fewer than their average of 21.6 GAPG this year. The losing team still had notable players including Emily Jorgens, who kicked one goal for La mano de Dios. INDY Team #5 and Jimmy Savile’s U10s competed in a low scoring affair, combining for three goals. INDY Team #5 took home the 2-1 victory. First shout-out goes to Alejandro Arguello of INDY Team #5 who now has the most goals in the league with 5 goals. Cliff Sakutukwa scored two goals to lead the crew’s attack. Next Saturday, INDY Team #5 face off against Squad Goals (3-0-2) in an attempt to remain unblemished. This is Jimmy Savile’s U10s’s first loss of the season. Tom scored the only goal for Jimmy Savile’s U10s to save them from a shutout. La mano de Dios (0-3-2) are next up on the calendar for Jimmy Savile’s U10s, as they look to rebound.

Squad Goals (3-0-2) vs. Dave and the Goaliaths (0-3-2) – Saturday, October 19, 2019

As they did earlier in the year, Squad Goals won the rematch against Dave and the Goaliaths. This game finished with a final score of 2-0. First shout-out goes to Paul Sanderude of Squad Goals who now leads the league with 5 goals. Paul Sanderude was the VIP, scoring all two goals to help gain the squad the win. Their goalkeeper, Aaron Meyer, made sure Dave and the Goaliaths would not score. On Saturday, Squad Goals battle against INDY Team #5 (4-0-1) in an attempt to remain perfect. Dave and the Goaliaths struggled to get it going on offense in this game, but they’ve had 5 overall goals this season. Next week, Dave and the Goaliaths battles against The Tanglers (1-3-1) in an attempt to put a 1 in the win column.
