Fall 2019 Sat Lincoln Park South Coed Recreational Flag Football – Week 1
Run and Gun (1-0) v. Shark Attack (0-1) – Saturday, September 14, and 2019
Run and Gun and Shark Attack combined for an offensive explosion totaling 60 points. Run and Gun put 33 on the board and held Shark Attack to 27 points. QB Richie Foreman passed two TDs, passing to Morgan Fitzpatrick for one of them and ran for two more. Despite losing, Shark Attack has plenty of games to improve on the offensive end. For Shark Attack, in the loss, QB Bobby hit Trevor for two touchdowns and ran in one on his own. For Run and Gun, each game is a crucial game to heat up as the season gets going. This week Run and Gun will take on Wet Lettuce (0-1-0). For Shark Attack next up is a contest with Shockers (1-0-0) as they try to come back from this one.
Hulk Smash (1-0) v. Sweet Sweet Candy (0-1) – Saturday, September 14, and 2019
Hulk Smash dominated Sweet Sweet Candy. Hulk Smash put 35 on the board and held Sweet Sweet Candy to 6 points. They are the higher-scoring team in the league early on this season. QB Clay delivered four TDs, passing to Edward Boateng for one of them. Sweet Sweet Candy may have to turn things around on offense in order to turn things around, as they are the lowest-scoring team in the league through the opening week. In the loss for Sweet Sweet Candy, QB Jason hit for zero touchdown. This week Hulk Smash will compete with Flags & Flasks (0-1-0), as they look to keep up the momentum. For Sweet Sweet Candy they’ll move on to a showdown against INDY Team #3 (1-0-0) as they look to come back from this one.
INDY Team #3 (1-0) v. Beefcakes (0-1) – Saturday, September 14, and 2019
INDY Team #3 and Beefcakes took part in in a nail-biter. By the score of 28-24, INDY Team #3 got a nail-biting W to stay unbeaten. INDY Team #3 may want to get it going on offense if they’re going to stay near the top of the standings, as they are the lowest-scoring team in the league early on for the season. QB Dino Vazquez threw three scores, hitting Willie Hull for two of them. Despite the loss, Beefcakes has significant amounts of weeks to go back to the drawing board on offense. For Beefcakes, in the loss, QB Eric Hennessey hit Josh Thomas for two touchdowns and scampered in for one. INDY Team #3 will attempt to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2. Sweet Sweet Candy (0-1-0) are next on the calendar for INDY Team #3. For Beefcakes they will have a battle against Mongrels (1-0-0) as they look to rebound.
Mongrels (1-0) v. Flags & Flasks (0-1) – Saturday, September 14, and 2019
Mongrels and Flags & Flasks competed in an absolute shoot-out, totaling 59 points. The final score of 33-26 reflects the hard work Mongrels put into every minute of the game. QB Mark Macleod threw three TDs, passing to Pano for two of them and ran for one with his legs. In spite of the loss, Flags & Flasks has significant amounts of time to pick it up on the offensive side of the ball. During the loss, QB Cass hit Matthew for one touchdown. This week Mongrels will take on Beefcakes (0-1-0), as they go for another W. For Flags & Flasks next on the docket is Hulk Smash (1-0-0) as they look to rebound.
Shockers (1-0) v. Wet Lettuce (0-1) – Saturday, September 14, and 2019
Shockers and Wet Lettuce lit up the scoreboard, combining for 59 points. With a final score of 32-27, Shockers maintain a zero in the loss column this season. QB Mike Treleaven passed four touchdowns, passing to Ginelle Jurlano for one of them and rushed for one more. It’s only the first week, and Wet Lettuce has significant amounts of time to pick it up on the offensive end. During the loss, QB Adam hit Justin for two touchdowns and rushed for one more. This week Shockers will line-up against Shark Attack (0-1-0), as they look for another win early on this season.
