A CITYWIDE CHALLENGE FOR THE URBAN ADVENTURER
For the past several summers, we’ve watched with interest on that August Saturday when the streets of Chicago are taken over by teams of adults athletic apparel with their heads bent intently over bright pieces of paper as they rush around doing, well, we haven’t been sure what.
It turns out those teams were competing in CityChase, an “urban adventure series” that takes place in cities across the country, and which returns to Chicago on August 25 (registration for a team of two is $190).
If you’ve ever thought about trying out for something like The Amazing Race, CityChase is your one-day way to test-drive the experience.
Past years’ endurance challenges have included milking a cow at Harry Carry’s, rappelling down Navy Pier and completing a Marine boot-camp drill, and this year’s expanded course, with a new starting point and additional top-secret checkpoints, promises to make Chicago the biggest, baddest CityChase event of them all. (Winners take home trips to Vegas, big-screen TVs and more prizes.)
Grab your smartest, strongest, most ultracompetitive friend and get ready to rule the city.
