CTB Immortals (6-2) v. The Team f/k/a Indy Team #4 (1-6) – Saturday, August 24, and 2019

The Team f/k/a Indy Team #4 forfeited to CTB Immortals. CTB Immortals advanced to semi-finals, and without a week to rest, jumped right into it as a double header. See how they did by reading the next recap. The Team f/k/a Indy Team #4 is done with playoffs, which means it’s time for a team meeting at the bar to regroup for next season!

INDY Team #2 (3-5) v. Wet Lettuce (2-5) – Saturday, August 24, and 2019

The 4th place vs 5th place game is always one of the most exciting matches of the playoff bracket. With a final score of 21-13, INDY Team #2 grabbed this W. The last time these two teams met in week 2, Wet Lettuce won 99-0. The results were very different this time around. By the score of 21-13, INDY Team #2 got a solid victory.  This team brought it on D, beating their season points against average of 38.5 ppg. QB Carley Callans threw two scores, passing to Jorge Martos for one of them. This win advanced INDY Team #2 to semi-finals, which was played as a double header. The exciting recap of that game is below. This is the end of the road for Wet Lettuce’s run in this league. There’s always next season!

Midway Monstars (6-1) v. INDY Team #2 (3-5) – Saturday, August 24, and 2019

Midway Monstars, the #1 seed, took on the #4 seed, INDY Team #2 in this Semi-Final game. The last time these two teams met in week 5, Midway Monstars won 34-0. The results weren’t much different this time around.  The final score of 36-8 reflects the hard work Midway Monstars put into every minute of the game.  Midway Monstars really brought it in this game, beating their average of 30.40 ppg. QB Jamonti Robinson delivered five touchdowns, passing to Dj for three of them.  For INDY Team #2, QB Carley Callans hit Jorge Martos for one touchdown. They dominated in the regular season, and it’s no surprise Midway Monstars advanced to the Championship game. Read the recap below to find out how they did. CTB Immortals (6-2) v. Flags & Flasks (5-3) – Saturday, August 24, and 2019

The #2 seed, CTB Immortals, played the #3 seed, Flags & Flasks in this Semi-Final game. These two teams faced off back in week 3 and Flags & Flasks won 31-21. But this time around, the tables were turned.  By the score of 27-18, CTB Immortals got a solid W.  CTB Immortals are the highest-scoring team in the league for the season, averaging 44.5 points per game. QB Joe passed three TDs, passing to Martin Jr for one of them.  For Flags & Flasks, QB Cassius hit Reggie for two touchdowns. The semi-final win for CTB Immortals advanced them to the championship game. Read the Championship recap below to see how they finished. Hopefully the loss doesn’t haunt Flags & Flasks too much. CTB Immortals (6-2) v. Midway Monstars (6-1) – Saturday, August 24, and 2019

It was a Championship Game written for the movies. Could the #2 seeded team, CTB Immortals outplay the #1 seeded team, Midway Monstars, who hadn’t lost a game yet this season? In this game, yes they could! CTB Immortals put 20 on the board and held Midway Monstars to 19 points.  CTB Immortals are the highest-scoring team in the league for the season, averaging 44.5 points per game. Their D got the job done as well.  For Midway Monstars, QB Jamonti Robinson hit Thomas Mcginnis for one touchdown. Congratulations to CTB Immortals on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title. Midway Monstars came so close to the championship title. They’re not an easy team to beat and looking ahead to next season, they are definitely a team that will be at the top of the standings table.
